Beautiful belly

Too much fun taking photos. Taking pictures is so much fun for me that I feel like I am going to explode.

Again in my creative world it is another outlet for me just to have a blast.

Here are some shots of my latest, victim, LOL. Tiffany happens to be my best friend and we took belly shots with her first pregnancy, too. Some shots below of both. First time I just took two sheets as the backdrop. This time I found a bolt of fabric at a yard sale as the backdrop.

Tiffany is very happy this theses as she was with the originals.

I can't help myself I took all the pictures into photoshop and cleaned some small stuff up. (wrinkles, brightened the color, changed color of a few things, brightened eyes, etc.)

Anyway.. I will let the pictures speak for themselves. Let me know what you think.. Would love some other opinions on them.

Warhol art goes to the Dogs

Okay.. I couldn't resist. This is a from a few years ago but I want to let people understand how my mind things.

I have four dogs.. Actually back then I had 5 but that is another story.

I needed some "color". So I took it upon myself to find something. I have thousands of pictures of my "girls". Yes they are all female. And so I started thinking of how I could take my inspiration to a new level of color.

I started with thinking of a graphic way to look at my oldest, Fiesty (green). Then it got me to thinking of Warhol look. Now of course I didn't go with all the same picture I used my four girls but I simplified it all to the essentials.

I have this hanging above my headboard. I am so blessed with these four creatures of endless love.

Project took me about two days using my beloved Photoshop. I printed them out on card stock with a great HP laserjet and simple framed them in no-frame, frames in a 2x2 block. Extremely satisfied with them. See below.

If you care, Fiesty is 13 years old (green), Tonya is 11 years old (orange). Bonnie is 12 years old (yellow) and Mia is 2 years old (purple). Her mother, Lady, was the one I lost not pictured.. Just hurts.

I could do this for your four legged family members, too. Just call me.

Balloon Stork - Too Cute

My best friend just had a baby shower and all she wanted was a balloon stork I had found on the internet.

I haven't been doing balloons long.. actually this is my second "party" with anything balloons that I have done. So I had to "figure it out".

With a little help from my husband and with loads of hunting for the right balloons. Man I wish my small town had more options. Sorry got side tracked. Anyway, here is the my first attempt at a Stork.

Let me know what you guys think. I know I need more highth on the legs. I am still learning.

I didn't think too bad for my first attempt.

100 white dart balloons, 98 yellow water balloons, 12 white 9" balloons, 4 - 9" yellow balloons, structure and about one and half hours.

She was extremely happy with it and that is all that matters.

Photo manipulationa and resortation

If you didn't know, I have been resorting photos for a while in my spare time.  It all started on Christmas when the eldest aunt decided to disperse the historical family pictures. Since there is 5 siblings in that generation they put numbers on each set of family heritage photographs. Not a bad plan so that if one home was to get damaged at any time there woudl still be other precious family photos out in the world.

Anyway.. My mother wanted my grandpa Archie's platoon picture. It was in four pieces because he keep it folded in his back pocket for so many years one the war was over. Of course as things go .. she didn't get that set. It was the first time I had seen my mother cry in years, especially over my Grandpa Archie (another story).

Well seeing her so upset gave me an idea, I could use my photoshop skills I had learned at my job and try to make her a copy of it. Well it was a lot of work to get it out of my uncles hands. I had to promise that I would bring it back the next day. Which I did.

So, after scanning it in, I preceded to jump on youtube and learn how to restore images using photoshop.  Wow that was overwhelming. I working on it in my "spare" time. And if you know me you understand that is funny.

Anyway, a couple of photoshop seminars later and a year of working on it and learning at the same time I finally finished it. And as luck would have it about October. So I decided to get it professional printed, mounted, and framed and give it to her for Christmas. Funny Huh..

I did just that. And she cried. I cried and the other siblings were very envious. Not an effect I expected. But it made her so happy.

To keep the family equal I printed 4 more so they could have one "pretty" too.

If I can find the file in my chaos of a computer I will post it soon.

My New Blog

Finally.. I am in the blog world!

This is a new experience for me. I tweet, Facebook and everything else but just want to get on the blog scene.

If you don't know me I am a creative person by nature. I do a little of everything. Paint, draw, graphic design, cakes, photography, restoration/manipulation of photos, wedding bouquets and just recently started balloons.

No I am not too crazy but yes I am very CRAZY! Just love to find creative outlets to keep my sanity.

This blog is going to be another outlet. I thought I would write down all I do for once in my life. Maybe I will slow down or even speed up. Who knows.

Anyway here I go into the world of blogging.
